Drone Surveyor

Vertex Air are looking for a surveyor to join our expanding team.
This will be a dual-role combining office based analysis of drone based images to compile reports for clients as well as site based works across the country, undertaking the drone survey works.
We are welcoming applicants from a variety of backgrounds. Whether your experience lies in building/asset inspection or in land surveying and measured surveys, we want to hear from you. All drone flying training and certification will be provided by Vertex Air.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct aerial surveys and inspections using drones to gather high resolution imagery, video and spatial data.
• Analyse drone data to assess conditions, identify issues and process spatial data including LiDAR & Photogrammetry.
• Create detailed and accurate deliverables, which may range from condition survey reports to 2D/3D mapping and measured survey data.
• Communicate findings and reports to clients in a clear and concise manner.
• Travelling between sites and overnight stopovers (accommodation provided).
• Operate and maintain drone equipment to ensure optimal performance during surveys.
• Collaborate with our survey teams to plan and execute surveys in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while operating drones and conducting surveys.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in drone technology and surveying techniques to enhance operational efficiency.

• Confident in dealing with the general public
• Willing to travel / work away from home
• An interest in drone technology
• Enthusiastic about the application of new technology
Desirable Skills:
• Background in asset/building inspection OR land surveying.
• Experience with photogrammetry, point clouds or spatial data processing.
• Qualification or experience in CAD software
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £27,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
